Why do I need MitID?
You are sharing a car with people you know. MitID is what lets the group be certain that the person on the member list is also the person getting into the car.
What it is used for
Your identity is confirmed once, when you join a group. After that the others in the group know who you are — and you know the same about them.
What it is not used for
MitID is not used for payment, and it gives the group no access to anything of yours. Payments run through Stripe on the group's own account — see How you are charged.
Identity and driving licence are two different things. MitID shows who you are. The
licence shows that you are allowed to drive, and it is approved by the group administrator —
see Get your driving licence approved.
